Wud First Industries

Today I gave into peer pressure and created a Facebook profile. It was nice to see comments from JD and David from SNiP, but then I realized I couldn't hide my real name, or change it to wud. The whole thing felt like a giant cataloging system. It was awful. I remember when myspace first came out you could put anything in any field, including code. That was the main reason I thought it was cool. Although they've become more draconian over the years also. Which got me thinking about all the time I've spent creating content(albeit lame content that no one wants to see out of that context) for a company to exploit. It made me sick, so I will be deleting my myspace profile as soon as I recover all the old info that I want to save. As for Facebook, I put in the delete request, and it should be removed in 2 weeks. We shall see.
