Garage
I am planning on Sound Proofing my garage, to accomplish the following goals without bothering my neighbors:
Somehow my garage has become storage for other people. i need to clean it out first now. ugh.
Stage one has begun, Pictures soon.
in order of importance.
1. Play drums in the daytime.
2. Have band practice in the daytime
3. Play drums late night
4. Have band practice late night
5. Record music.
The most trouble areas for sound isolation:
1. Garage Door - replace with solid tilting garage door
2. Fan - run a tube with rigid fiberglass stops that makes it so the path is not direct
3. Windows - cover in insolation
4. Seems - accostical sealent.. paint?
5. Thin Walls - insulation. Drywall. (add mass)
I think if i take care of the 5 main areas that goals 1 and 2 should be satisfied.
