Wud First Industries

Today I gave into peer pressure and created a Facebook profile. It was nice to see comments from JD and David from SNiP, but then I realized I couldn't hide my real name, or change it to wud. The whole thing felt like a giant cataloging system. It was awful. I remember when myspace first came out you could put anything in any field, including code. That was the main reason I thought it was cool. Although they've become more draconian over the years also.

You are not real musicians.
You have no soul.
You are selling out the rest of us.

By playing cover songs in bars for drunk idiots, you are affirming the standard in America that creativity is wrong. Being a musician is the complete opposite of this. You might as well be playing Guitar Hero, or be a DJ. Both of which are much more honest. I know that some of you are just doing it for the money, but that is even worse. By hogging the attention of the moron consumer you are effectively forcing other musicians to follow your lead.

We spent most of the day exploring Richmond, ate breakfast at a cool diner.. Some slutty girls said they wanted to bang all of barrets friends, as they drove by.. We then saw them later on in their underwear, it was a model shoot or something. oh i forgot to add lunch in baltimore on the bay the day before, awesome clam chowder.. we took a nap at the park, and walked along the river, and checked out tattoo shops.. The one place had a cool mutant fish that stared at your soul, it looked like the dragon in willow.

So we wake up in waynes boro, and i text tara in WV whos house we're supposed to be playing at. She says that since its raining the show is canceled. Balls. We goto the coolest little coffeshop in waynesboro for breakfast, and get on the wifi messaging everyone.. it was nuts.. Then for some reason taco wants to goto wahsington DC.. so we do, and drive by the whitehouse and everything, and its nuts and people are yelling about wasting gas and its a mess. Then we're at a mall somewhere and one of our show attempts comes through, but for baltiimore. So we goto baltimore. And it starts raining.

So I havent been on here at all in a few months. In that time the band has played a few shows, gone through some lineup changes, truncated the name of the band, wrote all new songs, and recorded a cd. Which is now available. I am now going to attempt to fill in the show diary with outdated info. For some of the shows I really do not remember the names of the bands, or many details.
